Investigations have revealed that there are lots of latent, undiscovered talents hidden in the back sides of our great nation, seeking for the opportunity to be unleashed. In an effort to meet this need, is organizing the , which is directed at discovering, extracting and promoting these untapped talents, who are not yet star actors or actresses, models and comedians, through an audition process. It focuses on providing these natural potentials (in and outside the motion picture entertainment industry) with opportunities to develop and showcase their talents in their respective fields.
The project is broken into three categories – acting, comedy and modeling.
This is broken into two categories:
- The soap series
- The movie
Artists like Richard Mofe Damijo, Ego Boyo, Kunle Bantefa, Toun Oni (Checkmate) all came on the scene via soap operas. In this regard, participants selected through the audition will be used as casts in a television soap opera that will run for 52 weeks.
The selected actors/actresses will feature in four movie contracts, two of which will be in Yoruba language and the other two in English language. These movies will correct norms and promote the culture of our land. This is a deal of a life time for the selected cast.
The comedy industry is another fast growing industry we have in the country. Talented comedians will be given the opportunity to show case their talents. Currently, veterans in the field like Ali Baba, Basketmouth, AY and other notable comedians are anticipating the arrival of new ones. The Extracting Talent Project is giving this opportunity to upcoming comedians to stage shows alongside the veterans.
The Extracting Talent Project is also providing opportunities for people with modeling potentials to explore the modeling industry, sign up modeling contracts with local and international modeling agencies and chart their own modeling careers.
